The Children’s House program for Montessori students is being established to support families interested in Montessori education as a long-term choice for their children. The program focuses on the growth and development of the young child as an intellectual, spiritual and social being. A child’s play is their work. In the Children’s House, the child will develop math, reading and language skills; explore geography, natural and physical science; experience cultural arts, music and foreign language and work on practical life skills in a comfortable and prepared environment. The child will work at a pace that is natural for him and will have the freedom to work alone or with others. The goal for each Children’s House student is to develop his or her learning capacity to its fullest extent while encouraging self-motivation and self-discipline within the class structure.
